This list is definitely impressive. However, there are some other major players not inducted that deserve some serious credit. For the most part I can’t argue with this prestigious list. Tonka Trucks and Mr. Potato Head…no contest. But others are a stretch to me when there are some absolutely amazing toys not on the list. I mean, Blanket? SInce when is Blanket a toy? That sounds like something my dad would tell me in the Walmart toy aisle. “You don’t need that Transformer? You have a blanket at home.” The same could be said for cardboard box. “You want a Nintendo? We got you that cardboard box and you just tore it up.” Although I have had some serious fun with a cardboard box.

Speaking of, how can Game Boy make the list, and not the original Nintendo?

What about TMNT? Please tell me you know this abbreviation.

What about Transformers??? Robots in disguise. The tagline alone if hall of fame worthy.

It just goes to show you: no matter how incredible you are at your job, sometimes (if not often) you will be overlooked. That’s a great lesson to learn. We should not compare our work to others. Do what you do, and do it well. Never worry about the approval or recognition of others.

So just like you, some classic toys are not getting the credit they deserve. What toy makes your hall of fame?
