Let’s Ask America gets a 2nd season and teaches us a lesson

A great thrill for me in 2012 was being on an actual game show (thanks to my personal assistant for getting me the audition).  I just discovered the show got picked up for a second season.  While this does not directly affect me, I am excited for it.  It’s great being a part of something, particularly something that is successful.  It reminds me of some great leadership lessons like “the Law of Victory” by John Maxwell.  The lesson from this experience for me, however, has been slightly different.  I have been reminded once again of an invaluable lesson that has been said many great ways:

“Just do it”

“You have to step out of the boat”

“You have not because you ask not”

“Can’t never could do anything”

and countless others.

So, however you prefer to phrase it, I encourage you to to do “it” today: step out there, go for it, try and try again, volunteer, ask, apply.  You never know you may just get that position that seemed out of reach, the part that was elusive, or win $37,500 on a game show!
